Welcome to the Waldo County (Maine) Arts and Heritage Discovery Project—a community-based, grassroots effort to identify and inventory our county’s cultural resources; to strengthen our cultural life; and to protect our local heritage for the future.

This project is funded entirely be grants and donations, so there are no strings attached. Participation is free, so come join us.

Latest Project News. . .as of March 9, 2003
We are currently conducting a countywide inventory of artistic and cultural resources to be included in our free on-line directory and in the free print publication, The Arts & Heritage Guide to Waldo County, which will be published in early June, 2003. Both the website and print directory are noncommercial and the information compiled for both will be shared free of charge.

To be included on the website, simply browse through www.waldoarts.org to get a sense of what it’s all about. If you want to join, click on “Join the Directory” and follow the simple instructions. Your profile will be approved within a short time and then added to the site. Time is growing short to be part of our print directory, but we’ll keep the door open until the last possible minute!
